Some 350 hectares of farms in North Khorasan are planted with rose flowers, known as Gole-Mohammadi in Iran.
Harvesting the flower starts from early may and lasts for almost two months.
The flower has different uses in Iran. For instance, rose water, called Golab in Iran, is used in different treats and sweets. Also, some use it for skin care.
Rose bud is furthermore used to make different herbal teas.
